Deirdre was a progressive Folk band hailing from the Netherlands. Some of the lyrics are in English, others are in Dutch. All have the exceptionally fluid guitar runs of Henk Jansen and the beautiful vocals of Jopie Jonkers. Their version of 'Lovely Joan' rivals that of the teenage folk band of Folkal Point (essential listening)
